- Dark mafia romance. Eden hides a world of pain behind her snappy one-liners and snark. But that pain is nothing compared to what she experiences after meeting Valentin Carrera. Head of the US faction of the Carrera drug cartel, Val walks a fine line between establishing his own authority and being forced to answer to his father, who heads the Mexican headquarters for the family business. - Dirty Headlines by LJ Shen
- Enemies to lovers office romance with some laugh out loud moments. Confession: This was my first book of Leigh’s and now I’m ashamed to say that it’s taken me this long to dive into her work because it was FABULOUS. The hero, Celian, it a total alphahole (seriously, I wanted to punch him in the dick a couple times.) The banter is snappy, the inner monologues are witty. Celian’s family dysfunctional family dynamics are soap opera worthy. The smut is ON POINT. Now, I have to go read all her other books, kthxbye.

- Alphahole by DD Prince
- Enemies to lovers -forced proximity- office romance. Aiden is the ultimate alphahole. Seriously, I spent the majority of the book wanting to punch him in the junk. I personally LOVE heroes who make me hate them before making me love them (plus, enemies to lovers is probably my favorite trope.) Carly is the perfect heroine for this alphahole because even when Aiden’s ego is convinced that Carly wants him, she flat out tells him what a horrible human being he is. It’s a perfect match. Never fear, though, Aiden redeems himself in a lovely way before the end.

- Give In by Layla Frost
- Professor/student trope with generous helpings of hot as hell OTT alpha and BDSM. This book was sexy AF. Damien is obsessed with Eden and Eden is starved for attention. Damien is possessive and controlling, but Eden is stubbornly independent. They butt heads and the push/pull is magnificent. Match made in heaven.
